The darkness of a sleepless night
is more than i can bear
Tomorrows shade of tired eyes
do not catch a lover's glare
Beneath the covers quilted down
the stiffness of the sheets
Around the room the smells of love
where two bodies felt the heat
Inside a soft embrace of kiss
the lips of secret lies
He gently tosses up his head
and looks her in the eyes
Oh sleep come quick I beg of you
do not keep my slumber
In dreams of many sleepless nights
so many I can't number
